grounded, effective,
you is waiting.
The Next Right Step
Over the next seven weeks, we’ll walk through the six Roots of Resilience, so you can create a blueprint for the lifestyle you’ve always wanted…
… alongside a community that sees you, supports you, and encourages you to dream big and live as your whole self.
The most grounded, effective, and healthy you is waiting. Will you greet them?
Over the next seven weeks, we’ll walk through the six Roots of Resilience, so you can create a blueprint for the lifestyle you’ve always wanted…
… alongside a community that sees you, supports you, and encourages you to dream big and live as your whole self.
You deserve to be fully supported in your well-being; to have your dreams and aspirations cherished, encouraged, and seen.
You deserve to make an impact in this world and be your full, amazing self while doing so.
To believe in yourself and go after your goals and be well at the same time.
To protect your well-being, so you can feel well and be well even in moments of difficulty and challenge.
To be grounded, to love and support yourself, and do the important work you were put on this earth to do.
But chances are,
you’re on this page because something (or several things) are preventing you from stepping into that version of you.
And you’re not alone. I talk to so many women who have big, bold dreams for their lives, but they’re feeling…
- Stuck in one area of life, and frustrated because they haven’t found a safe personal development space that’s reflective of their lived experiences and addresses the systems of oppression they face.
- Uncertain about how long they can keep up with their own pace. They keep asking themselves when it’s all going to come crashing down. How do they keep going without burning out?
- Unsupported. They wish they had a community that was willing to see them, celebrate them, and hold them through the highs and the lows.
- Doubtful. They’re worried they don’t have what it takes to pursue what’s on their heart. They’re feeling called to more, but how do they actually get there?
Perhaps you can relatE.
If you’re new to me...
hi! I’m Komal Minhas.
I’m a resilience educator, entrepreneur, investor, and host of the Lessons Learned Podcast. And I’ve lived a lot of life in a short time.
From premiering my first documentary at the Obama White House to investing in almost a dozen companies by the time I was 30, to interviewing Michelle Obama on stage in front of 8,000 people in 2019, to being named to Oprah’s Super Soul 100 for the impact of our documentary, I’ve accomplished so many bucket list and dream goals over the last decade.
But in the midst of all the highs, there were these intense
lows of pain, and turmoil, and illness.
The same year my documentary premiered, I was diagnosed with a rare form of skin cancer and had to undergo two invasive surgeries. When I became cancer-free, I hustled harder than ever. A few months later, I got sick again with a neurological illness and lost vision in my left eye.
I decided to pick up my entire life and career in New York City and move back home to Canada in order to support myself and my wellness.
I basically started from scratch.
So whether you feel like you’re facing an insurmountable storm, or you’re currently watching all your dreams unfold but wondering if you can truly sustain it all without sacrificing your own health and happiness… I see you.
I know what it’s like to be hustling after your goals
and rapidly approaching burnout.
I know what it’s like to be facing serious obstacles that have completely changed the way you operate in everyday life.
I know what it’s like to face systems that were not built for you. To be gaslit in the workplace, to have your lived experiences ignored, to be in communities where you feel totally unsafe, because no one looks like you.
And you know what I’ve realized through it all?
My superpower is my resilience. It’s how I was able to transform my life — and it’s how you can transform yours.
What is resilience?
Most people think of resilience as bouncing back from difficult situations. But in order to bounce back… you need something to bounce off of.
Think of resilience like your trampoline.
It’s your foundation; it’s rooting into the core areas of life that keep you sustained and well, so you can succeed and thrive through adversity and through those periods of flying high.
Through my own lived experience (and extensive research), I’ve found that those core parts of life can be traced to 6 key areas:
Wellness →
Community →
work →
Self-efficacy →
Impact & identity →
Organization and Planning
When I focused on building meaningful community, finding and creating purpose in my work, rooting into the impact I want to make and my identity and heritage, prioritizing my physical and psychological wellness and building up my own self-efficacy and trust in myself, and created an actual plan… I was able to transform my life into one rooted in impact and action.
I want you to root into these parts of yourself and your life, too.
Because you deserve to live well. To share your story and be supported. To seize those big audacious goals without sacrificing your health and happiness.
Which is exactly why I created…
A 7-week program that takes you through my six Roots of Resilience so you can create strategies for your well-being and the blueprint for the lifestyle you’ve always wanted — alongside the community you’ve always dreamed of.
What is The Next
Right Step?
I often say The Next Right Step is the program I wish I could have taken when I was facing some of my hardest times. And that’s because it is.
It took me going through all that I went through to ask: is there another way to do this? Is there a way to help other women do this too?
Yes. There is!
In seven weeks, I’m walking you through what it took me years to discover about incorporating routines and tools into my life that worked for what I truly wanted in life and work and helped me protect my mental health and well-being.
The intention is to feel well in mind and body, have a healthy and purposeful relationship to work, and to feel grounded in identity, so you can make the impact you want to make on this world.
After our seven weeks together,
you’ll walk away with…
-
Practical strategies for your mental health and well-being so you can feel well in your mind and body
-
A customized blueprint on the actionable next steps to take toward your dream lifestyle and next level self
-
The knowledge of how to build and connect with your community where you are
Tools to create routines and habits that support your goals, your well-being, and a healthier relationship to work -
A community that supports you and encourages you to tell your story and live your truth
— and you’ll be doing it with a powerful community of womxn beside you at every step of the way.
Here's how it will unfold...
Over the next seven weeks, we’ll move through each of the Six Roots of Resilience together in a weekly, live workshop (accompanied with workbooks and community support), so you can create an actionable blueprint that outlines your dream lifestyle and the steps to get you there.
MODULE ONE ● June 16: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm EST
Welcoming Wellness In
What does it look like for you to be well and truly thrive? In this session, you’ll be joined by licensed therapist and wellness coach, Minaa B., as she walks the TNRS community through the two fundamental areas of wellness: psychological and physical.
YOU'LL...
- Uncover what wellness looks like for you specifically, and how you can get back to that type of wellness more consistently.
- Understand how to create long-lasting healthy habits that keep you anchored, no matter what life brings.
- Step away from hustle culture and face old coping mechanisms and conditioning that no longer serve you, so you can get back to feeling better and keep your momentum going, even when life feels hectic.
MODULE TWO ● June 23rd: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm EST
Creating Your Dream Community
Community is an integral piece of The Next Right Step. You deserve to be in community with people who see you, love you, and respect you enough to show up in the ways that you need. During this module, you’ll get clear on how to create a community that fills your cup — while growing closer to your built-in community here inside the program.
YOU'LL
- Get clarity on where the gaps in your community are and how to fill them, so you can be fully supported in your growth.
- Connect with people who see you and honor you. If you’ve ever wished for a group of people who get you... this is that group!
- Cultivate a support system and strengthen your existing relationships so you can continue to have a community that is a part of your journey.
MODULE THREE ● June 30th: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm EST
Working Well
Whether you see work as a means to an end, as part of your legacy and impact, or as what you do every single day for your kids, home, or philanthropic efforts, this module is all about making sure your relationship to work is one that is well for you and your needs.
YOU'LL
- Define what success means to you and how you want to pursue that — whether it means staying on the path you’re on or branching out into something new.
- Explore your relationship with work and boundaries, so you can step into a healthier relationship with your work without sacrificing your goals.
- Have a tactical plan for your next steps at work, so you can be yourself in your work, whatever that looks like for you.
MODULE FOUR ● July 14th: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm EST
Developing Your Self-Efficacy
Your Belief that You Can Face and Overcome The Hardest Obstacles In Your Life
This is the heartbeat of the roots of resilience. It’s a research-backed process to gaining confidence. Because the truth is, if you’re feeling like you lack confidence, it's not because you don’t believe in yourself… it’s because systems of oppression are set up to make sure you don’t believe.
By developing self-efficacy, you develop the belief in yourself that you can move through difficulty and overcome what’s in front of you.
YOU'll
- Learn how to use areas you do feel confident in to build confidence in the areas that you don’t.
- Address your environment and uncover how it's impacting your confidence and belief in yourself (and what to do about it).
- Uncover the five ways of building self-efficacy, so you can make your impact in this world while being your full self and face any situation that comes your way.
MODULE FIVE ● July 21st: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm EST
Connecting to Your Identity to Create Your Impact
Have you ever stopped to think about who you really are in a heart-centered and meaningful way? Identity & Impact is all about doing just that. Inside this module, you’ll dive deep into your lived experiences, heritage, and culture, and root into who you are and the impact you want to make in your communities.
you'll
- Get clear on how you’re actually showing up for yourself… and who you really want to be moving forward.
- Connect to your heritage and culture, so you can root into your purpose and identity and establish your “why” that guides you.
- Define your commitments to your community (including your commitments to anti-oppression and anti-racism) and create a plan to take consistent action toward those commitments.
MODULE SIX ● July 24 & 25, 2021

What if I cannot attend a live call or need to leave early?
While I encourage you to do your best to take this time for yourself (you deserve it!), I understand that sometimes life happens and you won’t be able to attend every single call. If you’re not able to join us live, you can watch the replay that will be available 24 hours after the live workshop for you to watch at your convenience. If you need to leave an event early, all I ask is that you exit the online space respectfully. To ensure the best possible experience for all attendees, there will be a five minute grace period at the beginning of each workshop to allow everybody to get settled in.
How is this different from other online programs?
The Next Right Step is the program I wish I would’ve had when I was going through some of my hardest times. I created it because there isn’t another program out there like it.
The personal development and wellness space often doesn’t name the systemic issues that are at the core of poor mental health and well-being. It’s a foundational consideration our team has embedded in our programming for The Next Right Step.
In a time where so much feels uncertain and we can’t control the countless changes occurring around us, we CAN control how we respond to them. We respond to change and adversity by building up our resiliency, and building systems and habits that support us in our day-to-day life and help us show up as our best selves.
This program is meant to do just that. It’s for women like you who need help figuring out their next right step in life or business, and are looking for an intersectional community that sees you and your lived experience and encourages you to dream big and go for it.
What kind of results can I expect?
That’s up to you. Inside The Next Right Step, I’m giving you the tools to create the lifestyle you dream of, and a community to hold you throughout your journey. It’s up to you to take in the information, do the exercises, and actively implement the teachings into your daily life.
What I can promise you is eight life-changing weeks that can inspire impactful action and change if you show up for yourself.
Is there accessible pricing available?
There sure is, email info@komal.com for more information.
Will you be offering The Next Right Step again?
Yes! We will be delivering the program again in the Fall. Make sure you join our email list to get all the updates if now isn’t the right time for you.
I believe you can make the impact you’ve always dreamed of… without sacrificing your health and well-being.
I’m holding that vision for you. I see you, I’m rooting for you — and so is the community that’s waiting for you inside The Next Right Step.
Since starting my entrepreneurial journey, my passion has always been to champion women like you — to encourage you to dream big. To help you tap into your potential, to honor your wellness, to connect with communities aligned with your values, and to support you as you move out of your comfort zone.
Which is exactly why I created
The Next Right Step.
My greatest lessons learned are built into this program, so you can further elevate your life to face the systems not built with us in mind.
To become that version of yourself you’ve always dreamed of — the politician, the entrepreneur, the artist, the mother, the multi-passionate human you are, the most effective, grounded, healthy you you can possibly imagine.
If you’re feeling that stirring feeling in your stomach — that urge that this is your time — then I’m so excited to welcome you into this life-changing program.
