How to Find Your Target Audience (AND CHANGE THEIR LIVES)

So you have a story to tell. You know it has the power to change people’s lives, to connect with them on a deeper level. You’ve even done the hardest part and gotten it down on paper, on video, whatever medium you chose. And now... crickets.

If you’re someone who wants to change the world with your story, it’s not enough to be an amazing storyteller! You have to seek out and connect with your audience in intentional ways.

As artists, this can be a really confusing and emotionally difficult part of the process. It can feel inauthentic to want more Instagram followers, or to watch the view count on your YouTube video. But think about it this way: every new follower is a person who can be impacted by your story, by your work. Every time someone reads or views your story, there is potential for a shift to take place in that person that may change their life.

So when you think about it that way, finding and reaching your audience isn’t inauthentic at all. It’s a necessary part of the work you are meant to do.

In this week’s YouTube video, let’s get into how you can find, reach out to and connect with your audience. If you’re someone with an important story to tell (and I’d bet that you are!) check out the full video here!
